Nestled at the top of a large townhouse and oriented toward the trees of the backyard, this apartment feels remote from the city below. The goal of the project was to create a warm, inviting comfortable space that could grow with a family of four. Rustic, reclaimed elements contrast to sleek, refined ones. Grown-up and play spaces exist side-by-side to foster togetherness. The spaces easily shift from hosting play-dates and homework sessions, to adult entertaining and relaxing. Like the material palette, the furnishings are at once sturdy and kid-friendly and elegant and sophisticated.
